PUBLIC HEARING

Supervisor Dennis Ricketts opened the Public Hearing to hear public comment on the proposed Comprehensive Community Plan at 7:00 PM on September 15, 2010 at the Park Pavilion. He led the Pledge of Allegiance, and then turned the session over to John Steinmetz, Planning Advisor.

Along with Supervisor Ricketts and Mr. Steinmetz, the following officials were also present: Councilmen Bryce Bower, Daniel Miller, and Greg McKurth; Town Clerk Sondra MacEwan; Deputy Town Clerk Susan Bodnar; Planning Committee members Ben Lipscomb and Daryl Bower.

No members of the community-at-large were present.

Mr. Steinmetz gave a quick overview with a Power-Point presentation of the planning draft, and then fielded questions. He told the Board that the next step in the process of adopting a Community Plan would be the completion of an Environmental Assessment Study. Allegany County also needs to review and comment or pass the plan before it arrives before the Board for possible adoption.

Once adopted, the Community Plan may be revised periodically to keep it up to date.

Supervisor Ricketts moved that the Hearing be closed, and Councilman Bower seconded. 4 ayes, 0 noes. The Hearing was closed at 7:30 PM.
