TOWN OF HUME

September 28, 2011

A regular meeting of the Hume Town Board, Allegany County, New York was held at the Town of Hume Museum, 10842 Claybed Road, Hume, New York on September 28, 2011. Supervisor Dennis Ricketts called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM, and he led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Town officials in attendance included: Supervisor Dennis Ricketts; Council members Christopher Austin, Bryce Bower, Gregory McKurth, and Daniel Miller; Highway Superintendent Kevin Peet; Water & Sewer Superintendent Dana Potter; and Clerk Sondra MacEwan.

MINUTES

Councilman Miller moved that the Minutes of the September 14, 2011 and September 21, 2011 meeting of the Hume Town Board be accepted as presented. Councilman McKurth seconded. 5 ayes, 0 noes.

HIGHWAY

Superintendent Peet provided the results of his comparison of the bids and specs from the companies that bid on the Heavy Duty Truck and Plow Equipment. The Board worked on the Tentative 2012 Budget before returning to act on the bids.

Councilman Miller moved that the bid with trade-in for the truck at $96996.00 from Kenworth Buffalo be accepted. Supervisor Ricketts seconded. 5 ayes, 0 noes.

Supervisor Ricketts moved that Cyncon’s bid for Dump Body & Plow be accepted at $83958.00. Councilman Bower seconded. 5 ayes, 0 noes.

BUDGET

The Board examined the proposed budget figures in the Special Districts, Highway Department and Water and Sewer Departments. Changes were suggested, information requested.

Councilman Bower moved that the meeting be adjourned, and Supervisor Ricketts seconded the motion. 5 ayes, 0 noes.

Meeting adjourned at 10:40 PM.
