TOWN OF HUME

October 15, 2012

 

The Hume Town Board, Allegany County, New York held a Special Budget Meeting on October 15, 2012 at the Town of Hume Museum, 10842 Claybed Road, Hume, New York. Supervisor Ricketts called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM, and he then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

 

Officials attending were: Supervisor Ricketts; Councilmen Bruce Hinz, Christopher Austin, and Daniel Miller; Historian Rondus Miller; Deputy Town Clerk Joanne Cockle; and Town Clerk Sondra MacEwan. Councilman Gregory McKurth was absent.

 

MUSEUM

 

Historian Rondus Miller gave a brief presentation outlining the duties and procedures of the Historian and the scope of the Town Museum. The Museum houses over 4000 items of local and area significance. During the summer of 2012, over 500 new items were cataloged and added to the Museum’s collection.

 

BUDGET

 

The Board reviewed changes to the Tentative 2013 budget, considered further edits, and examined fund balances and reserves.

 

Following discussions, Councilman Austin moved that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Hume for fiscal year 2013 be adopted, and that a Public Hearing be held on October 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM to hear any comment on that budget. Councilman Hinz seconded. 4 ayes, 0 noes, 1 absent.

 

Councilman Austin moved that the meeting be adjourned and Councilman Miller seconded. 4 ayes, 0 noes, 1 absent.
